About C.A.S.S.
The staff team

C.A.S.S. has staff members with wide range of different experiences and backgrounds. We always advertise vacancies in local newspapers for any permanent posts and all C.A.S.S. staff have had to complete this recruitment process.

When we advertise we always try to avoid unnecessary barriers to people by not requiring academic qualifications or lots of previous work experience – we take account of people’s personal as well as work or professional experience – what people can bring to the job is more important than simply what they have done previously. A positive attitude and an enthusiasm to help is a key part of what we look for in applicants.

As a result we have a staff team which has people in it with a wide range of skills and interests. We have people who have worked in mental health services, the Probation Service, the housing sector, community projects and with young people in care as well as in other supported housing projects. We also have people who have personally experienced difficulties themselves similar to those, which they are now trying to support other through.
