Finding Accommodation
People can be homeless or threatened with homelessness for any number of reasons. These reasons are rarely simple or straight-forward and homelessness is usually a manifestation of other life difficulties. Sometimes people may be housed but feel that their accommodation is unsuitable.
If you're in one of these situations - maybe you think you might be owed a duty by the Local Authority, maybe you're looking for tempoaray accommodation with or without support or maybe you're hoping to find permanent accommodation - C.A.S.S. or other agencies, which provide homelessness, housing and benefits related advice might be able to help. For some examples and the contact information of agencies operating in Cumbria, click on the link on the left-hand-side.
In this section you can also find information about making a homelessness application to your Local Authority as well as contact details of agencies, which provide temporary and permanent accommodation.
